She pummelled me awake this morning. Many heavy, four-footed landings, in some random pattern, all over my slumbering self. Then — a final warning — one last front-paw slam, on my face. Claws in (consideration for the holidays of peace, no doubt.)

Watermark is one of those blogs that faded in the past year, and returned to find many things changed. Friday Cat Blogging is one of the first traditions I participated in when this blog began. It's the tradition that brought Watermark mention in the New York Times. It brought me to many blogs I would not otherwise have found. It's silly, it's fun, and it made a community out of folks who often had little else in common. I hope that it continues.
It's the turn of the year; change is coming, change is here. The light changes. Our lives change.
