NaPoWriMo 1

Looking for a poem?

Go home.
Sit by a window
with paper and pen.
Write what you see
and then
what you feel.
This is a fruit
with a thick
dimpled skin.
Peel away everything
not fat with juice.
Now you're in.
Just sit for awhile.
Take out any guile,
all evasion, all cliche.
That's enough for today.

Because NaPoWriMo is so spread around this year, I made a page just for NaPoWriMo links. And a button — it's there on the sidebar. On that page you will find a list of participants, places to find prompts, and links to some very helpful articles on short forms.

We'll be needing those short forms this month.

  1. how wonderful … it reminds me of a writing class a million years ago when we were given an orange and asked to write about it … i’ll never forget that orange.

  3. simple and happy little poem that says it all! If only it were so simple for me. Your new page is wonderful – all those links! I am sure it will be appreciated by many.
