Ummm, — from my About page:
Disclaimer
Please do not assume that the speaker/ subject of my poems is me.
In these times of creative nonfiction and fictionalized memoirs, I think of the poem itself as true fiction: it is most likely not factual, but it must be true.
It is likely to be — it is best if it is — a truth I did not know before I wrote, and may not understand even then.
A poem is my way of discovering (dis-covering) what I feel; sometimes, what I think — but it is not necessarily biographical.
So — I’ve been there, but I’m not there now.
LIFE (SPIRIT; INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITY; ETC.)
EXISTS (OPERATES; ACHIEVES; ABIDES; RELATES)
BETWEEN (METAPHORICALLY AS NECESSARY)
THE CLOUDS (STEAM)
AND THE GLACIER (ICE)
IN THE THIN FILM OF NOW (A PUDDLE)
WHICH IS ALWAYS
RUNNING AWAY
EVAPORATING
OR FREEZING SOLID
nOW TO EXPLAIN PLASMA
Exquisite agony.
I’m glad for you that you’re not there now.
