I’ve Lost Touch With the Moon (snapshot poem)

This pale sky. Another day

like this page, broad, blank.

I've lost touch with the moon.

I no longer know its phase or its place.

I sleep through the short nights

and the long afternoons.

How is it I grow older

when I have been old for so long?

Wow! This is beautiful. I was out walking the night of the full moon. It was so pretty. But, in celebrating, in my own little way, I, too, am painfully aware that I age, yet, already feel older than dirt!
    Thanks!
