Snapshot Poem 01 June 02011

i search for you

in the meadows
blooming purple and blue
in the mildewed shower stall
in the cobwebbed basement

one dream after another
corridors and highways
buildings strange and familiar
corners and high places

a glimpse of you just
down a tree-dark street
your wife’s voice
you daughters’ pain

my own, my own

  1. Interesting poem. hmm.

  2. Cathy, you are the second person to have an “interesting” response to this poem. It prompted me to step back and try to read it with fresh eyes.
I see that there is a story to be read there that I did not put there.
But I think that’s ok. Maybe makes the poem more … interesting.
