Crazed blogging poets across this country will be writing — and posting — a poem a day for all of this month. Dave will be posting a card a day; that one up there is his first.
Some more sites devoting this month to poems:
- poemAddiction
- ReadWritePoem
- Reen, of course, our NaPoWriMo ForeMother
- Bloof Books is hosting a NaPoWriMo podcast
- Poets.Org is doing a NaPoWriMo pledge drive
- Poetic Asides is offering a Poem A Day (PAD) Challenge
- & Dana Guthrie Martin is hosting FaBoStaMe on Facebook, today, in which more than can be believed Facebook poets have sworn to update their Facebook status message 30 times in 30 minutes.
I'm sure there are more centers of NaPoWriMo activity — leave me a note in comments, or email me, and I'll add to this list. Blogrolls of participants can be found on several of the above sites.
Oh. Who, me?
Sort of.
I'm planning to post a sort-of poem every day this month, but I'm going to cheat. I'm going to use every poem prompt and generator I can find. I'm giving myself permission to post old poems, and other people's poems (are you listening, Cindy?) and really, really bad poems.
Here's number one:
Here's the poem:
You're so sweet
Every day
It's you I tweet
If that's not the worst poem I've ever written, I don't (want to) remember what is.
