Will you speak the name?
I do not know it.
Is it one name, or ten thousand?
It is ten thousand names.
It is uncountable names.
Each knows its own name.
What is my name?
Do you not know it?
I do not know it.
Choose, then.
What shall I choose?
There is a universe of names.
Anger, Joy, Grief, Sorrow,
Delight, Revelation . . .
I choose Revelation.
You choose well.
What will be revealed?
Only you.

Becket meets Zen in this beguiling Q & A. Loved it.

i’m glad you linked us up to this one! “what will be revealed?” is a line that could anchor, maybe, all the poems in the world.
-
Excellent. Thought provoking layers.

I like it, you can’t escape from yourself, can you? It reminded me of the paper fortune tellers we used to make as kids, you choose a colour then a number then you recieve a comment!

i think none of us ever really know what is to be revealed,, and i kind of like it that way….
this was very spiritual,, and almost prophetic in its own right… -
