Political Cats

Friday Cat Blogging   Friday Cat Blogging is intended to provide a break from the political steam of the blogosphere:

"The Carnival of the Cats is a weekly roundup of cat-related posts on
weblogs. Its purpose is to provide a non-political respite from the
vehement echo chamber that the Blogosphere spins itself into during the
week, demonstrating that even the mightiest and meekest of pundits have
a love of cats in common,"  Laurence Simon

But, having dipped my toe into the water already this week, I decided to wade in a bit further, in honor of this primary season.

We humans have a tendency to plaster our politics on our chests, our car bumpers, and our coffee mugs. Zazzle is happy to offer the necessities.

We begin with the old-fashioned basics:

Bush Ate My Cat       Hillary Ate My Cat

Progress to the spiritual:

Everytime you vote Republican, God kills a kitten.       When you vote Democratic God kills a kitten

Descend to invective:

My cat shows more compassion that George W Bush does.       When you are old and eating cat food, thank a Republican!

Resort to puns:

Jake the cat says vote Democratic, otherwise you will cause a cat astrophy.

And, finally, appeal to the transcendent:

You can't handle the Truthiness!       Love Not War

(Yes, it does seem that cats lean Democratic.)
