A few links this week, but not as many as usual. I’ve decided to move my blogging- related links to Blogging Blog, to spare those of you who really are not interested in meta-blogging. Those of you who are interested, can go over there, or even better, subscribe to Blogging Blog for posts from me and others on this, to me, fascinating subject.
My time on the web is changing, as I shift my attention to the daily writing challenge of NaNoWriMo. I "won" last year, making the 50,000 word goal; but a lot of that, to be honest, was padding. Still, I proved to myself that I could do it; that I could maintain that level of focus and continuity with my writing.
This year is, not painless, but easier. I’m doing a sort-of memoir, a sort-of autobiography — so the material is right here, in my memory. I’m moving aside the blocks that stopped me cold earlier this year.
And then there’s NaBloPoMo, the blog post a day challenge. This is more fun than it was last year, because the new site is so exciting. There are so many groups! I already belong to several, even though, with both of these projects at once, I don’t have much time to participate.
My guess is that some of these groups will continue to be active and interesting, though, even after November has passed.
So, last week:
- Time Goes By – What its really like to get older – Ronni has asked her readers to visit and review the bloggers (elder bloggers) on her sidebar. An excellent idea, and now an even better resource for finding good blogs.
- The Global Sympathetic Audience – New York Times – interesting article on Tumblr, Twitter, etc: spontaneous and almost continuous communication
Here at Watermark:
- epiphanist and Lonita Introduced themselves (yes, I know I’m a bit behind on this)
- Snapshot Poem 31 Oct ’07
- Cat-O-Lantern
- Poetry Everywhere
- Cat-O-Lantern 2
- Strength & Fragility [Photo Friday]
pohanginapete says: I’d be interested to hear about some of the ways you think your poems
have changed over time — not so much the subjects (if indeed they have
changed noticeably), but how you present what you have to say.
And Niki asks: I am wondering what "Twitter Updates" are on the side link.
I’m planning posts to answer these questions — but probably not soon.
