Poetry Everywhere

Now, in addition to:

fertile ground poetry project button
fertile ground poetry project

. . . We will offer (and beg for your participation in):

  • lively conversation on poetry and the lives of real live poets (like you and us)
  • engaging challenges to develop your skills and keep you moving
  • cool poetry tips and games
  • poetry stunts and other acts of insanity
  • free writes (let it all hang out)
  • all of this fun will be unstructured and according to no particular
schedule. we’re lying in the grass here. it’s hard to be rigid.

[because we are serious poets, there is also an optional critique
component, which is, of course, more structured than the rest of the
site. but even that will be fun.]

    and:

    Totally Optional Prompts button
    Totally Optional Prompts

Totally Optional Prompts is a community of people who gather to share poetry. We provide weekly prompts which are Totally Optional, read each other’s offerings, and generally have a good time.

we have — or will have soon:

    readwritepoem
    read write poem

Read Write Poem is an online gathering place for those who love
poetry — and for those who suspect that, with a little nurturing, they
    could grow to love poetry.

All that’s required to participate is an Internet connection, gobs
of love for the P word, an interest in collaborative poetry, and
respect for and generosity toward your fellow participants.

… another new and classy poetry site. This is a ‘sister site’ to fertile ground. There is already a read. write. poem. group at NaBloPoMo, with several rich and active discussions.

    And there is also:

    Haiku: One Deep Breath
    Haiku: One Deep Breath

    One
Deep Breath is a community of poets writing and sharing haiku, tanka,
and/or haibun. Each week we will offer up a new prompt which we hope
    will inspire your writing.

. . . which I have seen, and linked, before; but somehow lost track of.

    So go. Write.

Wow……..all those wonderful places. I will turn my poet friend Marion B….she’s that at Open Diary, on to these wonderful links right now. Before I forget.

I write a good part of the day, but it’s work! And when I get a creative urge I grab a banjo. Several friends are coming over and reading poems that they wrote in writing classes. They are fun to read and best – question the author right on the spot! Whoa, sometimes so defensive. Go. Write. He says to himself…
