Webstream: My Week on the Web

Webstream: flowing water, digitally enhanced

It’s been an interesting week on the web for me. I haven’t bookmarked
much, or stumbled much, but I did a fair amount of writing, reading,
and posting.

Alex at Read/Write Web wrote a post about my Women Bloggers page — Adam vs. Eve: Does The Blogosphere Have A Gender? — in which he disagrees with me that sexism extends to blogging. In so doing, he sent me a fair amount of traffic.

Always glad to have folks disagree with me.

The Weblog Review did two nice reviews of Blogging Blog, with a few specific suggestions that you will see implemented soon.

I’ve been doing some behind the scenes tweaking, both online and off.

And — I’m trying to write a post for tomorrow’s Blog Action Day. This is being more difficult than I had anticipated, confronting the state of our beautiful, damaged world.

Sort of like confronting the state of one’s beautiful, damaged self.

Stumbled:

  • How to Save the World: "It
seems that while the "quantity" group was busily churning out piles of
work – and learning from their mistakes – the "quality" group had sat
theorizing about perfection, and in the end had little more to show for
their efforts than grandiose theories and a pile of dead clay."
