The Ledge| Audio

Arthur, when he reviewed Watermark, said that his one complaint was too few audio posts.

I keep forgetting.

So here is an audio post of the poem below, with a couple of edits. Doing an audio is a reminder of the importance of reading your work out loud; weaknesses the eye misses are clear to the ear.

  1. thank you for putting that poem in audio, enjoyed it and your voice

  2. How strange and surprising it is to hear a voice. Your voice.
I like this poem very much.

  3. Very nice! I liked both edits, particularly beneath for below. My writing teacher has been encouraging us to read our work aloud. It’s remarkable what one finds upon doing that.

  4. yea but is it apome, or jes a bunch of emotional blather?
why u callin that a verse?

  5. Pleasant. The smile became laughter in the poem. laughter because it rolled better from the tongue smile and said too hissed? A small smile I can picture better. For what it’s worth mentioning. Audio’s nice.

  6. Quite right, it was for sound. But I may reconsider . . .
