How To Cook A Weblog

Itkitchen_1

If you read or write weblogs, be sure to check out the IT Kitchen:

Each day, the first post of the day, at 12:01AM will describe that day’s topic and any writings are welcome, as long as they fit, albeit remotely, within the topic parameters. Most topics are pretty broad, so hopefully we’ll have some varying opinions and contributions.

The first day, [today!] October 25th, begins with a fairly powerful topic: Smart Mobs. Though using the term from the book, Smart Mobs: The Next Social Revolution by Howard Rheingold, the book isn’t the focus, and neither is the technology behind online group behavior (technology is the focus of later topic days). Instead, the Kitchen topic focuses on the human element of group behavior, as it’s amplified specifically within weblogs and other group media; and the influence of the group on individual actions.

It already offers much food for thought.
