Found at Chandrasutra: Chatango!
Chatango is a new way to make contact with people online. It’s the first tool for real-time, private, disposable, one-to-one communication. It works just like one of those IM products, but doesn’t require a download, and is accessible from any computer!
I’ve put a Chatango button on the sidebar, just beneath the Email Me link. It will be green if I’m online, red black if I’m not. If I understand the FAQ correctly (I’ve downloaded the MessageCatcher) you can leave me a message even if I’m not online, and I will get a message telling me you’ve left one.
This is an experiment — I’m not a great chatter, and unsure how it might feel to chat with people I’ve never actually met — but I’m feeling brave today.
We’ll see . . .
UPDATE
Message to self: Do not wander off without signing out of Chatango, or folks will understandably assume you are still there and just ignoring them.
