Project Blog

Project Blog is here because we care and because we want to make a difference. On July 24th, bloggers from all around the world will be updating their own blog every 30 minutes for 24 solid hours all in the name of each blogger’s favorite charity.

Two of my regular reads, Pushing An Elephant Up The Stairs (for The Depression Alliance) and Chasing Daisy (for MacMillan Cancer Relief) are participating in this blog-a-thon. A complete list of participating bloggers and the charities they are supporting can be found here.

Unfortunately, I’ve cocked up the time difference (will be pleading insanity at the enquiry) so although I made a start an hour, um… I’ll be restarting later today.
I’m off to cry myself back to sleep.

Artificial Intelligence

I do not use AI to write. I believe writing is thinking, and I prefer to do my own. If/when I post anything here that I suspect or know to be AI generated, I will tell you.

Poems

Please do not assume that I am the speaker/ subject of my poems.

In these times of creative nonfiction and fictionalized memoirs, I think of the poem itself as true fiction: it is most likely not factual, but it must be true.

It is likely to be — it is best if it is — a truth I did not know before I wrote, and may not understand even then.

A poem is my way of discovering (dis-covering) what I feel; sometimes, what I think — but it is not necessarily biographical.
